About Us
The VIAHR Congress app is made for Vacation is a Right Foundation Inc. (“VIAHR,” “we”), 10628 Queens Blvd., #750254, Forest Hills, NY 11375, USA, for the IV International Congress “The Power of Pause in High Performance” held at United Nations Headquarters in New York on November 19, 2026. The app was developed by Riccardo Ramadori, who publishes it on the App Store and Google Play on the Foundation's behalf . VIAHR determines how the app’s data is used and is responsible for it. This policy applies only to the app; the privacy policy for the viahr.org website is a separate document. The app is not an official United Nations app.
In short
No accounts, no ads, no tracking, no analytics of our own. We never sell your data. Nothing about you is published unless you choose to.
What Stays on Your Phone
Your settings (language, sound, vibration, reminders), the business card you create (name, role, organization, and—if you add them—email, phone number, LinkedIn, and country), and the business cards you scan from other guests are stored only on your device (or in your browser, in the web version). Deleting the app deletes them.
Sharing Your Business Card
Your full business card—including your email and phone number—leaves your phone only when you choose: when someone scans your QR code or when you use the share button.
The “In Congress” list (optional)
Only if you enable “Visible” (we’ll ask for your consent first) will your name, role, organization, country, and LinkedIn are shown to other attendees in the app. To do this, this information—along with a random app ID generated on your phone—is stored in a Google Sheet managed by the organizers; Google provides this service to us and processes the data on our behalf. Your email address and phone number are never added to the list. Turn off “Visible” and your entry will be deleted. Anyone can report and hide a person; the reports (the reported entry and the reason) are stored in the same spreadsheet and reviewed by the organizers, who can delete the entries. Offensive entries are deleted.
How long we keep it
Everything that appears on the organizers' Google Sheet (the list, reports, and questions) is deleted within 30 days after the congress
Questions to speakers
Nothing is sent until you click "Send." Your question, the session, the speaker it's for, your name (if you entered it), and the random app ID generated on your phone are stored in the organizers' Google Sheet, where the moderator reads them. Questions are not visible to other attendees; they are used only for the Q&A session and are deleted within 30 days after the conference.
Reminders
If you enable reminders, the operating system schedules them on your phone. No data is sent to us.
Burnout check
The burnout check runs entirely on your phone: your answers and your results are not saved or sent anywhere.
Pause Game
The Koi Pond game runs only on your phone. Your best score is kept on your phone; nothing from the game is sent anywhere.
Camera
The camera is used only to scan business cards QR codes. The image is read on your device and is never recorded, stored, or uploaded. On Android, the QR reader uses Google's ML Kit, which runs on the device and may send anonymous diagnostic and usage data about the scanner; the camera image remains on your phone.
Motion Sensors
Motion data is used only on your device to tilt the business card and the venue map. It is never stored or sent off-site.
Location
The app does not request or use your location.
Links
Links such as the website, the donations page, and our social media profiles open in your browser or in those apps, which have their own privacy policies. The app never processes payments.
Updates
The app checks Expo's update servers (the service that delivers software updates). The request includes the app's version and a random installation code—nothing about you.
Statistics from Apple and Google
If you've enabled this in your phone's settings, Apple or Google may provide us with anonymous, aggregated statistics, such as crash reports. These do not identify you.
Security
Data sent by the app is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to the organizers' Google Sheet is limited to the organizers.
Children
The app is meant for congress guests and is not directed at children under 13.
Your Rights
You can remove your entry from the list at any time by unchecking “Visible.” To request that we delete a report or a question, or for any other request regarding your data (access, correction, deletion, objection, withdrawal of consent, including under the GDPR), please email web@vhrfoundation.org with the subject line “VIAHR Congress app”. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date.
