3 steps to HEAL BURNOUT NOW

Something we take too little account of when learning to change and improve the way we feel is to remember that every negative mood is rooted in an emotion and a thought.

What does this mean?

When we find ourselves in a moment of stress, sadness, anger, apathy, it is extremely powerful to remember:

"The reason for my mood is a thought and an emotion".

Then ask ourselves: What am I thinking about this situation that leads me to feel this way? or What emotion am I feeling that is producing these thoughts?

Once we recognise this, comes the last - and most important - question:

How would I be viewing this situation if I were not having this thought, or, how would I be interpreting this event if I were not feeling this emotion?

At that moment we realise, that everything we are perceiving has to do with our thoughts about the event.

We recognise the power we have to change even our actions, simply by changing what we think about everything we experience.
