Vacation is a Human Right
Mission and Vision
Mission
The mission of Vacation is a Human Right is to raise awareness about the strategic value of taking a break as an essential tool for preventing burnout, which the World Health Organization recognizes as an occupational phenomenon affecting millions of people worldwide.
Through consulting, training, and support programs, we help individuals and organizations integrate mindful pauses into their culture, transforming them into a driving force for well-being, clarity, productivity, and human sustainability.
Vision
We envision a world in which mindful pauses are recognized as an essential part of life and work—not as an interruption, but as a source of clarity, energy, and sustainable performance.
A world in which organizations understand that true growth stems from balance and strategically incorporate it to foster talent, resilience, and quality of life.
We believe that preventing burnout is not just a matter of health, but an opportunity to rethink the way we work, lead, and live. In a global context marked by rapid change and uncertainty, taking a conscious break becomes a key tool for creating more humane, efficient, and peaceful environments.
What does it mean to "
" a period and a comma?
Our symbol, the semicolon (;), does not signify an ending, but rather a meaningful pause in a story that continues.
In life, there are moments when everything seems to come to a standstill, as if the path ahead were put on hold. But it is precisely then that what truly matters emerges: the decision to keep moving forward.
The semicolon reminds us that taking a pause isn’t giving up, but rather becoming more aware, regaining our balance, and moving forward with greater clarity. It is the space where a new way of being in the world is born: more human, more mindful, and more in tune with what truly matters.
The semicolon symbol means to pause, which is why we have adopted it as our brand isotype.
Taking breaks is good practice, and very healthy too. The business world needs to value it more. The supremacy of hard work has made us forget the importance of certain passive activities.
